Barbara Jean Haine Boyd
October 7, 1927- February 3, 2015

Barbara was born October 7, 1927 in Indianapolis. Barbara graduated from T.C. Howe High School. She married Robert Riley Boyd on December 4, 1946. They shared the same birthday. Together they reared four children and actively worked with church and civic organizations. Barbara was a Girl Scout leader and church youth group sponsor, as well as working full time as a medical assistant and office manager.
After her husband’s retirement in 1989, they moved to Bradenton, Florida to enjoy the lovely warm weather. Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading and activities with friends from church. After Bob’s death in 2006, she returned to Indiana to be near her family and lifelong friends. Barbara died of natural causes, peacefully at home, surrounded by family, February 3, 2015.
She is survived by her four children: Kathleen Mahanna (William) of Bradenton, FL , Robert R. Boyd, Jr. (Adrienne), Indianapolis, Michael Joseph Boyd ( Diana)of Greenfield, and Thomas Alan Boyd (Rita) of Sandy, Oregon. Her eight grandchildren are: Christopher Mahanna, Michael Boyd, Jr. , Jean Wilburn, John Boyd and Alex Thompson of Indianapolis, Laura Mahanna of Bradenton, FL, Eric Boyd of Seattle, WA and Kelley Kruze of San Francisco, CA. She had sixteen great – grandchildren.
Her family was precious to her and she always enjoyed being able to spend time with them. Although she will be greatly missed, we will treasure many happy memories.

A Funeral Service for Barbara Jean Haine Boyd will be held February 15, 2015 at 1:00pm at church, followed by a fellowship dinner at: Eastgate Christian Church 8100 East 16th St. Indy 46219
